) v* Z, {' [) e# i+ u 1970年罗伯特森在NBA史上最重要的官司之一中扮演一角。这个深具重大意义，由NBA球员工会对联盟起诉的奥斯卡·罗伯特森之诉，暂时打断了NBA和美国篮球联盟（American Basketball Association，简称ABA）原定的合并脚步。这个同时挑战合并案以及大学球员选秀会和禁止自由球员的NBA保护条款（reserve clause，注：将球员绑死在球队合约的条款）的反托拉斯案件之所以以罗伯特森为名，是因为他是当时工会的总裁。在这个案件起诉后六年NBA终于达成和解，两个联盟完成合并，而选秀会运作如昔。
