北京时间9月4日，2011世界斯诺克上海大师赛召开综合新闻发布会。丁俊晖在接受采访时表示，冠军不容易拿到，但自己会努力去做。/ M, V8 j+ h u' J% l, }3 c) d
过去的四届上海大师赛比赛中，几乎每一次，丁俊晖都被寄予厚望，球迷们希望他继天朝公开赛后，再次在本土封王。不过，在过去的四年里，丁俊晖还从未打进过四强，表现差强人意。
6 }, d1 }5 Y; R) K 今年的大师赛，丁俊晖卷土重来，球迷希望他能有所突破。不过刚刚从英国返回的丁俊晖表示，自己刚刚回来，不知道状态怎么样，“这几天练练球，休息一下，因为这段时间没有太多时间去准备这个比赛。”
. L/ p0 G ]* i 当被问到是否有信心在今年的赛事中有所突破时，丁俊晖表示，“冠军只有一个，不是那么容易拿的，过去这么多年我也才拿了5个冠军，可以看出比赛不是那么简单的，不是状态好就可以赢球，有时候需要运气。”
# a. @/ q1 O, o( y7 b 丁俊晖说，自己并不执着于取得怎样的名词，而是在于比赛的过程，“我每一年都很努力在打，因为赢球总是不容易的，哪怕只赢一场球对自己来说也是有好处的，要去经历，积累更多的经验，不是说打到前几，而是打出自己精彩的球来，能够让自己投入比赛是最好的。大家是希望看到我打得好，拿到冠军，但是我要告诉大家的是不容易做到，但我会努力去做，况且打台球也是我个人的事情，我不会说把每个机会都浪费掉。”7 ^6 W* K% T) q9 B
上个赛季，世界台联赛事密集，这也让包括丁俊晖在内的众多球员不堪其苦。新赛季刚刚开始，丁俊晖就因缺席即将开始的巴西大师赛而遭到世界台联主席的批评。对此，丁俊晖表示，“那只是一个商业比赛，我可以不去参加，没有积分，我去了会浪费自己的时间，到时候我也得不到什么应得的。”对于新赛季的比赛计划，一直在谢菲尔德练球的丁俊晖表示，在欧洲举办的一些PTC赛事，自己会尽量不去参加，“除非是在谢菲尔德的。”
